Tyn Y Berth is in Talsarnau, only 4 miles from Harlech, 5 miles from Porthmadog and a 20 min walk to the beach at Ynys. Talsarnau has a mainline British Rail station, local bus and train services and there is also car parking on the road outside of the cottage. ​

​​The beautiful estuary and coastline can be explored to the left by train to Barmouth, Harlech with its famous castle, and to the right to the Italianate village of Portmeirion. ​
